On January 26, 2017 (82 FR 8546), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) published an extension of comment period in the federal register allowing more time for members of the public to develop and submit their comments on draft NUREG-1556, Volume 9, Revision 3, “Consolidated Guidance About Materials Licenses: Program-Specific Guidance About Medical Use Licenses.” The original comment period in the December 6, 2016 (81 FR 87978) federal register was scheduled to close on February 6, 2017. The NRC has decided to extend the public comment period to no later than March 31, 2017. Comments received after this date will be considered if it is practical to do so, but the NRC is able to ensure consideration only for comments received on or before this date.
