New NRC Security Training

On August 7, 2013 (78 FR 48037), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) published a direct final ruling to standardize the frequency of required security education training for employees of NRC licensees possessing security clearances so that such training will be conducted annually (current standard in 10 CFR 95.33 is once every 3 years). This final ruling is effective on October 21, 2013.
