On October 30, 2020 (85 FR 68790), the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) published a final rule in the federal register amending the requirements of the requalification periods for certain Department of Transportation (DOT) 4-series specification cylinders in noncorrosive gas service in response to a petition for rulemaking submitted by the National Propane Gas Association (NPGA). This final rule is effective November 30, 2020 with voluntary compliance authorized October 30, 2020 for all amendments.
